Terminal: Reset Alternate Screen
If I scroll up or down using my mouse, it scrolls through my command history instead of scrolling through my terminal panel. How do I disable this feature and make mouse scrolling go back to the default behavior?
In Xorg xterm you can run:
tput rmcup
In Windows go into the Putty Configuration screen, under the “Terminals” category, in the “Features” tab, there is a checkbox for “Disable switching to alternate terminal screen”. Make sure to check it, and you'll get exactly the behavior you're looking for.
