FreeBSD: portsnap

remove the old port dir to start from a clean installation

rm -r /usr/ports
mkdir /usr/ports

portsnap 1st time

portsnap fetch 
portsnap extract

portsnap update the port's tree

portsnap fetch
portsnap update

add portsnap to /etc/crontab

0 3 * * * root portsnap -I cron update
